Spring Has Sprung

After a long end to winter, and some false predictions by that stupid groundhog Punxsutawney Phil, it's finally starting to feel like spring.  Time to dress accordingly.

It's Monday, it's cold, and there is still snow on the ground in mid-March.  Yuck.  Hopefully throwing on a bow tie will help brighten my day.

New Spring Jacket

With the weather getting warmer, its time to put that peacoat away for something a bit lighter.  I picked up this jacket from Frank & Oak, and its perfect for those cool, spring mornings.

Thinking About - Spring Footwear

I don't know about anyone else, but I am ready for spring.  I am getting a bit tired of wearing the same boots day in and day out.  Don't get me wrong, I love my desert boots and lace-ups.  I don't know how I survived winter before them.  That said, I am looking forward to the days where I can throw on some loafers or wingtips and not be concerned about cold weather and snow.  Here are a few pairs of shoes that I put on my wish list.

Spring Wish List: Lands End Canvas

I have been a big fan of Lands End Canvas, which is a more modern version of the Lands End line.  Here are some of my favorites from their Spring line.

1. Fisherman Crewneck Sweater ($69) - I picked this sweater up recently with their 30% off and free shipping sale (which they seem to have quite often).  I LOVE IT.  It fits perfectly and is fairly light, which will be perfect for those in-between spring temperatures.

2. Comer Chino Shorts ($44) - With a 9" inseam, these shorts will be a little higher on the knee than the usual shorts you may be used to, and thats a good thing.  Shorts that fit will make you look better (ie. not loose fitting cargo shorts).  Plenty of colors to choose from is an added bonus.

3. Striped Field Issue Crew ($64) - Great for those chilly spring evenings, a striped sweatshirt is never a bad thing to have in the closet.

4. Herringbone Club Collar Shirt ($49) - A change-up from the traditional OCBD, the herringbone print and club collar will offer a bit of variety.

5. Graphic Great Lakes Tee ($29) - Typically not a fan of graphic tees, but I couldn't resist with this one.

#WIWT - Denim Jacket

I have been toying with the notion of a denim jacket for a while now.  It can be a bold statement, but it can be fun to change things up from the typical blazer or jacket.  Here is my first go around with my new denim jacket from Levi's.
